Product Description
The Ferrari 612 CanAm is a sports car manufactured by the Italian automaker Ferrari between 1968 and 1971. In 1968 changed the FIA regulations for the World Sports car Championship, which excluded the Ferrari prototypes. Therefore sent Ferrari two cars to North America after the season in 1967 to compete in the CanAm Series, where Luigi Chinetti's NART racing teams already competed with a 412 S. The cars were new, simple spider-bodies and called 350 CanAm, but with their relatively small four liter engines, they were no match for the competition with domestic big block engines. In 1968, Ferrari took out a car especially for CanAm racing, the 612 CanAm. It was very similar to the P-312 model, but the 6.2 liter engine was the largest that Ferrari has built to date. This is a 1/43 scale replica of the Presentation car complete with aluminum finish!
