BR 4-6-2 "The Britannia" Collectors Centre (Limited Edition) BR 4-6-2 "The Britannia" Collectors Centre (Limited Edition) Hornby Britannia Class BR No 70000 "The Britannia", completed in January 1951, was the first locomotive build that comprised the BR Standard Class 7, or 'Britannia' Class of fifty-five steam locomotives that were constructed between 1951 and 1954 celebrating key British historical events. Britannia was retired in May 1966, and is now preserved at Crewe Heritage Centre. Hornby brings us this locomotive classic from their 'Britannia Class' range. Produced from new tooling they have released this special collector's model in the plain black livery complete with fine detailing and etched brass nameplates.
